Overview
When troubleshooting a CaraOne 1.4 desktop client, the client log files are the fastest way to diagnose an issue. This article shows where those logs live on Windows and macOS, and how to send them with a support case.
Windows
The CaraOne client writes its logs to:
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\ObviousFuture\CaraOne\Logs
Tip: paste that path into the File Explorer address bar to jump straight to the folder. (AppData is hidden by default, so typing the path is the quickest way in.)
macOS
The CaraOne client writes its logs to:
~/Library/Application Support/ObviousFuture/CaraOne/Logs
Tip: in Finder, choose Go → Go to Folder… and paste the path. (The ~/Library folder is hidden by default.)
Sending logs with a support case
When you open or update a CaraOne ticket, zip the contents of the Logs folder above and attach it, along with a short description of the problem and the approximate time it occurred. Including the client logs helps support diagnose client-side issues much faster.
