If an extra network card is installed in riser 4, the air dam in front of riser 4 should be removed to insure proper airflow to the card.
Unlock the latch on the top cover using a screw driver, a flat blade or Phillips will work. Turn counter clockwise to unlock.
Lift the front of the latch and remove the top cover.
Remove the plastic cover plate to the rear of the fans by pressing the outer tabs inward and lifting up.
Riser 4 should be clearly marked on the inside of the server.
In front of riser 4, behind the fans there should be an air dam. Lift the dam straight up to remove it.
Once the air dam is removed from the front of riser 4, reinstall the plastic cover plate. It should just snap back into place.
Replace the top cover and lock the latch, turning clockwise if facing the front of the server
Verify the UID LED goes from orange back to blue.
If the UID LED stays orange, make sure the standoff on the top cover is going into its slot and hitting the chassis intrusion switch beside riser 4 in back of the server.
