Please Note: Following these steps assumes you are cutting over permanently to the DR NAS system.
If the source NAS is available, go to the backup and recovery menu, otherwise proceed to "Clearing backup path" step below.
Edit the backup task and shut off the destination path, hit apply and commit all the changes to the backup task which will officially remove the snap data getting backed up to the destination NAS.
The commited backup job showing the destination has been removed so data is no longer getting backed up to the destination.
On the destination NAS, we first need to remove the "DS" lock from the file system we want to now make the production share. Otherwise the NAS locks all "DS" file systems from further use.
Now build your share exactly how you had it on the production NAS!
Set the name and the path to exactly what you need shared out.
On the next screen pick NFS, SMB or both. Then on the next screen you would usually pick users versus guest. Then select next
Select the users you want to test and their access
Apply the changes
Test the share and permissions etc.
