The short answer
CaraOne’s media handling is built on FFmpeg, the same engine used throughout the professional video industry. In practice, CaraOne can read virtually every professional and consumer video, audio, and image format you are likely to work with.
What this means for you
- Bring your media as-is. Most common camera, edit, and delivery formats are supported out of the box.
- Proxies are handled automatically. CaraOne generates an efficient H.264 proxy for fast browsing and playback. When you send a clip to your editor, CaraOne always points back to the original high-resolution file.
- Not sure about a specific codec? Contact Scale Logic support and we’ll confirm support for your exact format.
