19.4 Drives Management Screen
The Drives Management section allows you to view and manage tape drives connected to the SF Archive system.
- Drives are added Automatically if a drive is found on the SCSI bus.
- Drives can be added manually by running the NxScsi command.
- /usr/share/SFS/bin/NxScsi/NxScsi
- Drive Details
- Drive Name
- Map
- State:
- If a Drive is Enabled or Disabled (OFFLINE/ONLINE)
- Inquiry:
- This is the Drive type
- Serial Number of each Drive
- In Changer:
- This tells you which Change the drive is for.
- Loaded Volume:
- This tells you what tape is currently in a drive or if the drive is empty.
- Used By:
- Mounted:
- This tells you that the Tape is physically mounted on the SFS server as a drive.
- Mount Point:
- This is the mount point where you can access the drive from if needed outside the SFS software - when it is mounted to the Server.
- Button on Far Right:
- This is an eject button to allow a user to eject the currently mounted tape volume from the Drive.
