Video Scene Processing Requirements

  1. Minimum Scene Duration
    Currently, the server is configured to only process scenes that are 3 seconds or longer. This threshold is in place to avoid storing short segments typically associated with renders or transient clips.  Contact support for shorter durations as low as 0.5 or 0.25 seconds.  Doing so adds the possibility of cloudy results do to render transitions meeting the shorter scene detection time.

  2. Channel Requirements
    The CaraOne system requires each scene to include at least three media channels—typically, one video and two audio channels. Audio-only or video-only files are automatically ignored, as they are often interpreted as non-essential renders or incomplete clips. This behavior helps prevent the database from being populated with unnecessary or low-value content.
