Star List

After launching the CaraOne client, the Star List feature will appear at the upper right.  The Star List of CaraOne is designed to provide users with an efficient and intuitive way to build up a rough cut of found material and export an AAF.  The AAF can be imported to NLE's and other automation workflows.

 You must populate the star list by using the Search function.  There are 2 ways to star clips to get them into the star list, star multiple clips in the search results or star an individual clip via the Player Function.  

Key Features

1. Rough Cut Editor
   Ordering: Right-click a clip in the list and you can move it around - depicted here as highlighted and floating.
   Playback: Click on a clip anywhere and playback will start in the Player and play the rough cut in sequence.  Use the space bar to stop playback
   
   Export:  Press the 3 dots ... at the right of the clip.  Export the single clip as AAF to import into Avid MediaComposer, Resolve, Premiere, or other workflow.
   Delete:  Press the 3 dots ... at the right of the clip.  Choose to Delete the clip from the list.
   Add to prediction:  Press the 3 dots ... at the right of the clip.  Choose to send that clip to the Prediction Editor Feature.
   
   
   

2. Actions Grid:

Clear:  Clear the list for starting over

Load: Load a previously saved .csf file

Save: Save your current list as a .csf file to your local hard drive or shared location to work on it later or have another team member open it.

Export:  Export your list as an AAF file with a specified framerate as set on the CaraOne server. You can import the AAF into Avid MediaComposer, Resolve, Premiere or other workflow.  Consult your system admin to change the desired framerate if needed.
