A valid maintenance contract is required for any upgrade.  A valid backup of the data is required as a general data safeguard procedure.


RX RAID family has major and minor versions and most upgrades unless noted can keep the data in place.  Updates should be done by a Scale Logic tech support person via Teamviewer or similar access and downtime scheduled.  Each update requires a reboot, and the RAID set should be checked and ensured that it came online after the update before proceeding to the next update.  The versions below work and are valid for all RX products (RX, RX2, RX3, and RX5)
